Brad Stevens
Born and raised in South Florida, I grew up surrounded by photography. My parents ran a children’s photo studio, and my older brother, Jay, spent his youth capturing rock stars. You could say it runs in the family. But while photographing musicians and celebrities is exciting, my path to becoming a professional photographer was anything but conventional.
My first camera—a workhorse picked up at a NYC flea market and gift-wrapped with love—ignited a passion I couldn’t ignore. After years of working in the fashion industry across various global markets, I returned to college in 2000 to study darkroom photography. From there, I began assisting established photographers, refining my technique and developing a style of my own. By chance, I found myself photographing child models for top agencies, which opened doors to a thriving career in fashion and advertising.
With nearly two decades in the industry, I’ve shot campaigns for clients including Radio Flyer, Carter’s, Disney, Nike, MLB, Club Med, Sandals, Eberjey, Telemundo, and Visit Florida. Alongside commercial work, I’ve captured destination weddings for celebrities like Ashley Scott and Henry Winkler. My love for music photography led me to become a longtime contributor to SFL Music Magazine, where I’ve expanded into writing—something I’m deeply grateful for.
